The culinary offerings were a highlight, particularly the fresh fish from Lake Hallstatt and the delicious game sourced from the nearby Dachstein mountain range. Each meal celebrated the rich local flavors, making dining a memorable experience. Starting the day with a sumptuous breakfast that included homemade cakes and a perfect cup of coffee was a true treat. After a day of exploring this World Heritage Site, winding down at the new Salzbar was the ideal way to conclude our evenings, where an inspiring selection of cocktails and regional wines enhanced the convivial ambiance. My stay in the recently refurbished room, featuring serene Swiss stone pine furnishings, ensured a restful night, complemented by the breathtaking views right from my window.
